Do you have to take a chest X-ray for bronchitis?

Clinically, the diagnosis of bronchitis does not depend on chest radiographs or chest CT, because bronchitis is divided into acute and chronic bronchitis, mostly in patients who have been smoking for a long time, with clinical manifestations of cough and sputum, occasionally accompanied by fever and blood in the sputum. The diagnosis of bronchiectasis can be made by the physician’s examination, as well as by questioning and ancillary tests. The clinical examination of chest imaging, including chest radiographs and chest CT, is mainly to exclude other lung diseases, such as pneumonia, bronchiectasis, tuberculosis, lung abscess, and lung tumors. These diseases often occur clinically with cough and sputum, which are relatively similar to the symptoms of bronchitis, and are generally not easy to identify through questioning and physical examination, and further chest imaging examinations are needed to target and avoid misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis.
