Can whiplash cause ringing in the brain?

Cervical spondylosis can cause tinnitus. It is often caused by cervical or sympathetic cervical spondylosis. Due to degenerative lesions of the cervical spine and segmental instability of the cervical spine, the vertebral artery or sympathetic nerve fibres around the cervical spine are stimulated or compressed, resulting in narrowing, tortuosity or spasm of the vertebral artery, causing insufficient blood supply to the vertebrobasilar system of the brain and causing tinnitus, which is aggravated by long-term head-down and desk-bound work.
