What should I do if my tonsils are swollen and I snore in my sleep?

Patients who snore in bed with swollen tonsils are more likely to have sinusitis. Most sinusitis patients show clinical signs such as nasal congestion, runny nose and snoring in bed, and the cause can be identified through laboratory tests and imaging. If a child snores in bed and has enlarged tonsils, adenoid hypertrophy is suspected and will need to be examined in hospital and the adenoids and tonsils removed if conservative treatment fails.
