Do you feel when a urethral stone is expelled?

Urethral stones are usually felt when they are discharged. The sensation includes a slight stinging pain in the urethra or frequent or urgent urination, which often indicates the possible presence of a stone discharge or the patient’s original pain, which disappears immediately or is immediately relieved later, then the stone may have been discharged from the body. Stones can also be seen with the naked eye as a sand-like structure or cloudy urine, all suggesting possible stone removal. If a patient needs to know if stones have been eliminated, it is recommended that the urine be collected in an uncolored container and filtered to see if stones are expelled. If sand-like structures are seen, black or brownish-yellow in color, stones are likely to be expelled. If the patient’s original pain suddenly disappears after a sharp increase, this often indicates the discharge of stones.
