Hymenoplasty is now clinically well developed and involves the use of the remaining hymen to repair it, using modern scientific methods to restore it to its original state before rupture. Hymenoplasty is suitable for women whose hymens have been ruptured for some reason. A thorough preoperative examination, especially of the vulva and vagina, is required before the procedure; sexual intercourse is prohibited for one week before the procedure. The procedure is performed 3-7 days after menstruation. The difficulty of the procedure depends on the shape of the ruptured hymen fragment. If the rupture is caused by trauma, lesser sexual intercourse, sports tears, etc., it is usually easier to repair. The surgical method is often used: 1. Simple repair: The edges of the rupture are trimmed neatly with specific scissors and then the fragments are sutured together with medical sutures, leaving a small hole for only one finger to pass through, restoring the hymen to its original shape, which is divided into non-absorbable and absorbable sutures. 2.Immediate repair: suitable for some patients who need emergency, this method is faster and simpler. The hymen of the rupture is cut out with a neat edge and then finely sutured, after the operation, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory can be done. 3.Bioadhesive method: A kind of adhesive glue of human tissue is used to repair the rupture and form a complete piece, thus restoring it to its original shape. The adhesive glue will fall off automatically in about 5-7 days, and the bonded hymen is no different from the original one, which will bleed after the first sexual intercourse. Due to the poor blood flow of the tissue fibers of the hymen, the high tension of the postoperative wound, the vulnerability to contamination and the difficulty of care, there is a risk of 2 surgeries, so it is important to take good postoperative care after the repair to avoid infection.
