Guo, female, 59 years old, underwent coronary angiography in March 2011 due to coronary heart disease and angina. The result of coronary angiography: 90% stenosis in the middle part of the anterior descending branch, and an imported stent was placed. However, three months later, the patient developed chest tightness and chest pain after exertion, which could last for 5-10 minutes and could be relieved by taking nitroglycerin tablets, and the attacks were frequent and could occur several times a day, making normal work and life almost impossible. On June 19, 2011, he visited our clinic. Considering the short duration of stenting, the patient refused to undergo coronary angiography again and decided to add Chinese herbal medicine to the original western medicine. On June 26, the patient’s chest pain was slightly relieved at the follow-up visit, but he still had daily attacks and did not dare to perform slightly strenuous activities. At the follow-up on July 3, the patient’s chest pain symptoms were significantly relieved, with only one attack of chest pain in a week, and no need to take nitroglycerin tablets. He continued to take the tonics to consolidate the effect and is still taking the tonics with satisfactory results.
