Here is a simple and practical method – the paper towel test method. Wash your face before going to bed, use a towel to absorb the water from your face and do not apply any skin care products to bed. The next day when you wake up, use a thin tissue to wipe all parts of your face. Wipe your forehead first, then the sides of your nose, then your chin and cheeks. If the paper is so oily that it is transparent or has oil stains, it indicates that you have oily skin; if the wiped paper are clean and feel tight on the face, it is dry skin; if there are no special oil stains on the paper and the face is not much changed before and after the wipe test, it is neutral skin; if there are more oil stains on the forehead, nose and chin, and few oil stains on the face, it is mixed skin.
