Wang Ju, Department of General Surgery, People’s Hospital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Hemorrhoids are a common disease that is currently treated in many ways, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. According to the modern theory of hemorrhoids, the ideal surgical treatment should restore the normal hypertrophy and dilatation of the hemorrhoid tissue without changing the normal tissue structure and physiological function of the anus. The principle of the procedure is to “suspend” and “disconnect” the prolapsed anal cushion with a special anastomotic instrument, restoring the normal anatomical position of the cushion and effectively controlling the symptoms of hemorrhoids. Compared with traditional surgical methods, PPH surgery has the advantages of light anal pain, quick recovery time, short hospital stay, low postoperative complications and recurrence rate because it does not destroy the anal cushion and does not damage the perianal skin, and retains the physiological function of the anus to the maximum extent. Since the promotion of PPH surgery, it has been widely recognized by the international medical community and generally accepted by patients, and is gradually becoming the standard surgical method for the treatment of hemorrhoids, which has had a profound and positive impact on the treatment of hemorrhoids. The above picture (cell phone photo) is one of the hundreds of severe hemorrhoids that I have treated with PPH. This method is very suitable for III and IV degree internal and mixed hemorrhoids.
