Chinese Medicine for Diabetes Relief

Diabetes mellitus is called thirst in Chinese medicine, which is mainly treated by recognizing the evidence and taking Chinese medicinal preparations orally. 1. Lung heat and fluid injury (heat in the lungs, continuously depleting the body’s fluid): manifested as thirst and drinking, dry mouth and tongue, frequent and copious urination, red tongue edges, thin yellow moss, and a rapid pulse. Add and subtract with Thirst-quenching Formula. 2. Stomach heat blazing syndrome: manifested by excessive eating, easy hunger, thirst, frequent urination, dry stools, yellow moss, smooth and strong pulse. Add or subtract Jade Lady Decoction. 3. Deficiency of qi and yin (deficiency of qi and yin fluid): manifested by excessive thirst and drinking, ability to eat and loose stools, weakness of the limbs, pale red tongue, white and dry moss, and weak pulse. Add subtractions with Seven-flavored Atractylodis Macrocephalae. 4. Kidney yin deficiency (deficiency of kidney yin): manifested by frequent and heavy urination, turbidity like ointment, sweet urine, dry mouth and lips, dizziness and tinnitus, red tongue with little moss, and fine pulse (pulse becomes narrower and finer and the rate is accelerated). Use Six-flavored Di Huang Pill with additional subtraction. 5. Yin and Yang deficiency (deficiency of both yin and yang): frequent urination, even choking, emaciation of the face, lumbar and knee pain and weakness (feeling of lumbar and knee pain and weakness), fear of cold and cold limbs (fear of cold, cold limbs), pale white moss, and thin and feeble pulse. Add and subtract Jin Guo Ren Qi Wan. If you have diabetes, you should consult your clinician for treatment and take the medication as prescribed by your doctor. It is recommended to combine Chinese and Western medicine to treat diabetes for better symptomatic relief.
