Moxibustion is effective in treating premature ejaculation caused by spleen and kidney yang deficiency (deficiency of yang qi in the spleen and kidneys), but it is generally ineffective in treating premature ejaculation caused by dampness-heat subluxation (invasion of dampness and heat into the intestinal tract, bladder, pubic region, lower limbs, etc.) and blood stasis and obstruction.
Moxibustion generally has the effect of warming yang and tonifying qi, dispelling cold evils, etc. Therefore, for premature ejaculation caused by yang deficiency of the spleen and kidneys, premature ejaculation can be treated by moxibustion of Guanyuan, Vital Gate, Kidney Yu, Taixi, Sanyinjiao and other acupoints, which can play a role of warming yang and tonifying qi, tonifying the kidneys and consolidating the kidneys (consolidating the kidneys’ essence by tonifying the kidneys).
Causes of premature ejaculation include dampness and heat, blood stasis, liver qi, etc. Premature ejaculation caused by these causes should not be treated with moxibustion to avoid aggravating the symptoms.
If the patient’s premature ejaculation symptoms are serious, or if the symptoms persist without improvement, he should go to the hospital in time for treatment.
