Ibuprofen inhibits prostaglandin synthesis and has antipyretic, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory effects and can be used to relieve mild to moderate pain. For example, headache, joint pain, migraine, toothache, muscle pain, and neuralgia. It can also be used for fever symptoms caused by common cold or influenza. Adverse reactions include nausea, vomiting, heartburn or mild indigestion, gastrointestinal ulcers and bleeding, elevated transaminases, dizziness, tinnitus, blurred vision, nervousness, drowsiness, lower limb edema, or weight gain in a small number of patients. Skin rash, allergic nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, cystitis, renal papillary necrosis, or renal failure may also occur and trigger bronchospasm, leading to acute asthma attacks. Closely observe adverse reactions during drug administration and provide timely symptomatic treatment.
