The answer to the knowledge of occult penis

The penis body is shrunken in the perineal fat body, and the appearance of the penis is short, and only the small pointed foreskin protrudes out, like a small bird’s beak wrapped around the penis. If you squeeze the skin of the penis inward with your hand, the penis body will be revealed, and when you let go of your hand, the penis body will retract. Occult penis is a congenital malformation caused by abnormal development of the penile meatus. It is different from the case of fat accumulation at the base of the scrotum of the mons pubis due to obesity and the penis hidden deep under the skin, which can return to a normal state after maturation and reduction of fatty tissue. Patients with occult penis have fibrosis of the flesh membrane tissue in the penis, and the originally loose and elastic flesh membrane becomes inelastic, thick fibrous fascia, and sometimes forms cords. These abnormal fascia and cords pull the penis proximally and bind it below the pubic symphysis. Most children with this condition are circumcised and have a short skin covering the penis, but the inner foreskin plate is more than adequate. If a child with occult penis is not fixed with penile lengthening, it will affect the child’s penile development and cause psychological and physical disorders. Although occult penis is similar in appearance to circumcision, it is a completely different disease. The method of circumcision alone to treat occult penis is not only ineffective, but will also aggravate the shortening and deformity of the penis skin, or cause the penis to become even more occult, and even lead to pain during erection and urination of the child’s penis, which not only aggravates the original condition, but also wastes the already small amount of foreskin, making it difficult to perform surgery later. The treatment of anaphylactic penis is not only to do the surgery of enlarging the foreskin and thus lengthening the skin of the penis, but also to remove the fibrotic flesh membrane tissue, to “pull” the penis body out and fix it well, so that the penis can recover its normal physiological anatomical form, thus achieving the purpose of facilitating penis development. Some parents think that their children’s penis is short, and will naturally thicken and grow after puberty. In fact, many of the adult penis short and affect sexual intercourse are due to the failure to detect and treat the occult penis in time when they were young. It is recommended that parents bring their children to a pediatric urologist to confirm the diagnosis before surgery.
