What are dental implants and who are they for?

Dental implants, also known as artificial dental implants, are not really planted with natural teeth. Instead, dental implants are medically implanted into the alveolar bone of the missing tooth area through precise design of pure titanium metal with high compatibility with human bone, which is manufactured into cylinders or other shapes similar to the roots of a tooth and implanted into the alveolar bone of the missing tooth area by means of minor surgical procedures, and then porcelain crowns are fabricated on the artificial roots after one to three months when they are tightly bonded with the alveolar bone. After 1 to 3 months, when the artificial root is close to the alveolar bone, a porcelain crown is made on the artificial root. Because it is not destructive, dental implants have been recognized by the dental profession as the preferred restoration method for missing teeth. Dental implants are known as the third set of teeth of human beings because they are deeply planted in the bone, can withstand normal chewing force, and are almost the same as natural teeth in terms of function and aesthetics. So what are the conditions for dental implants? In terms of restoring the aesthetic effect and function of missing teeth, implant restoration is the preferred method. Theoretically speaking, implant restoration is suitable for all types of missing teeth. 1. Adults who are in good general condition, physically and mentally healthy, and whose bones and teeth have been developed to a certain shape; 2. Those who have recovered from bone defects after at least 6 months after jawbone and alveolar bone surgeries and traumas, and at least 3 months after extraction, and whose implant beds are of good shape and quality; 3. Those who have no obvious inflammation or lesions of the soft tissues of the oral cavity; 4. Those who are in clear request of the patients themselves and whose financial conditions permit; 5. Those who have undergone an oral examination, panoramic X-ray and dental implant restoration by professional physicians. Check, take a panoramic X-ray and do routine blood tests, such as bleeding disorders, high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and other systemic diseases, in the treatment of the disease stabilization before receiving dental implant surgery.
