Myoclonic cervical tilt is more common in infants, which is mostly due to fetal malposition in the uterus or abnormal uterine wall pressure leading to pressure on one side of the neck, which affects blood flow and eventually leads to thickening of the sternocleidomastoid muscle on one side.
If an infant has a left-sided strabismus, i.e. the head is tilted to the left and the jaw is tilted to the left, parents should intervene promptly in daily life, try to be on the left side of the baby when feeding and playing, and when the baby sleeps in the supine position, rice pillows can be padded on each side of the head so that the head is in a corrected position.
Once the diagnosis of cervical inclination, should go to the regular hospital as soon as possible, to clarify the specific causes, for targeted correction. Certain cases require surgical treatment.
