Amblyopia harms children’s vision

Amblyopia in children is characterized by poor visual acuity, blurred vision, and even after wearing glasses, the vision is still not ideal and cannot reach normal. The younger the amblyopia is, the earlier it is detected, the better the treatment effect is, and the best treatment effect is from 3 to 6 years old, while adults are basically incurable. Parents play the most critical role in the treatment of amblyopia in children because of their lack of expression and their inability to speak up. Amblyopia does not heal on its own with age, but only gradually deepens. Amblyopia is a developmental delay and disorder of visual function, often accompanied by strabismus and high refractive error, and is generally associated with the development of the nerves in the fundus of the eye. The amblyopic patient is different from the simple myopic patient, not only does the amblyopic patient have reduced vision, they also do not have binocular monovision, no stereo vision, simply can not engage in driving, mapping and some fine work. The greatest danger of amblyopia is that the affected person not only has low vision in both or one eye, but also does not have perfect binocular vision function with fine stereoscopic vision. Amblyopia will affect the life of the patient, learning and working. In their eyes, the stereo vision is blurred, so they cannot accurately judge the orientation, position and distance of objects. For amblyopic children, amblyopic eyes will seriously affect their learning and future life if they are not prevented and treated in time. Amblyopia can be treated or even cured if it is detected and scientific methods are taken in time, and the key lies in the timeliness of treatment.
