The importance of early screening for amblyopia

Amblyopia is a common eye disease in children. Amblyopia is a common eye disease in children, and according to the rate of amblyopia, there are more than 12 million children with amblyopia in China, as well as a large number of adults with amblyopia. The effect of amblyopia treatment is closely related to age, and the younger the age, the better the treatment effect. The younger the child, the better the treatment effect. Not only is the course of treatment short, but the cure rate is also high, while the older the child, the longer the course of treatment and the lower the cure rate. The best age for treatment is preschool (3-6 years old), and the latest age is school age (6-12 years old). Starting to treat amblyopia after 6-12 years old is relatively difficult, and the effect is relatively poor or even without hope of cure. Therefore, early screening, early detection and early treatment are the keys to cure amblyopia. Early screening can detect refractive abnormalities, strabismus, refractive interstitial clouding and other eye diseases affecting visual development in children, and timely treatment can not only obtain good treatment results, but also shorten the course of treatment and get twice the result with half the effort.
