Observation and summary of outpatient medical records of adolescent children with monocular myopia!

  I. The number of children and adolescents with monocular myopia in outpatient clinics is on the rise.  These patients with monocular myopia have certain commonalities upon inquiry: 1. poor lighting of the desk lamp, placed on the left or right side for a long time; 2. tilted head when reading, resulting in unequal reading distance between the left and right eyes; 3. too long reading time at one time; 4. do not think they are myopic, because the vision of both eyes is not too bad and cannot be felt, which eventually leads to late consultation; 5. unwilling to wear glasses, including parents; 6. exotropia 3, advice and suggestions: 1, timely pupil dilatation; 2, timely prescription, giving priority to corneal contact lenses, especially plastic glasses; 3, such as frame glasses, it is recommended that the full correction with glasses, is not recommended to undercorrect too much in one eye; 4, the consequences of not timely treatment: 1, myopia is worse than the eye of the faster rate of progression; 2, strabismus greater chances; 3, the development of visual function of both eyes is seriously affected; 4, affect learning.
