The advantages of natural childbirth are: 1. less trauma and faster recovery; 2. faster and fuller milk when eating immediately after delivery; 3. no incision or only perineal incision; 4. less chance of wet lung when the newborn is squeezed through the birth canal, and beneficial to the development of the baby’s systems; 5. less postpartum bleeding; 6. less complications for the mother and baby; 7. more frequent complications for the mother and baby. Disadvantages of vaginal delivery: 1) Longer labor pains before delivery; 2) Longer labor process and more unpredictable situations; 3) Looseness of the perineum and vagina for a period of time. The preventive mechanism of the reproductive system is reduced, but the mother can recover by strengthening her exercise.4 In case of obstructed labor, emergency labor, stalled labor there may be uterine bladder prolapse.
