High myopia is mostly dragged out by the parents of children!

Since I’ve been in the optometry profession, I’ve found that most children’s myopia is avoidable and recoverable, but because the parents keep going until the child can’t really see the blackboard anymore, by then it’s already over 200 degrees! That’s when they come to the hospital and ask a really low-level question: Can the child still recover completely? We can only tell you: children just appear myopia, timely treatment, then can quickly recover, but once the formation of true myopia, it is a flood of beasts, an average of 50 to 150 degrees per year growth! So first of all, we must hurry to control the growth of myopia in children, otherwise they are likely to be highly myopic after the age of 18! So if you find that your child has abnormal vision, for example, vision between 0.8 and 1.0, you need to hurry to deal with it, and it is likely that you can recover completely. So how many of the 3 developmental stages of myopia do you know about? Myopia has 3 stages of development 1. Pseudomyopia stage If the spasm of the ciliary muscle is released by physical methods or other physical therapy, the eye can be restored to its original state, blocking the development of myopia and preventing the development from pseudomyopia to true myopia. If not well prevented and treated at this time, the retina stimulates the continuous development of the sclera, causing the growth of the eye axis and gradually evolving into true myopia. Generally children’s visual acuity is 0.7~0.9 (when the pseudomyopia, if parents can find and deal with it in time, it is completely recoverable! And pseudomyopia becomes true myopia is often 1 to 3 months time, many parents think they can delay to the winter and summer holidays to go to the hospital or vision insurance store to restore, but unfortunately dragged into the true myopia! In the pseudomyopia period can be found very rare, estimated only 2% of the rate, because the pseudomyopia period, the naked eye vision is still relatively good, do not feel any abnormalities, especially in the classroom in the front row of the students, often found to see when the hospital check most more than 200 degrees. 2, true myopia stage True myopia patients eye axis than the original obvious growth, according to expert analysis, myopia patients in the eye axis for each 1mm increase in myopia degree increased by 300 degrees. Usually, myopia below 300 degrees is called low myopia, 300 to 600 degrees is called moderate myopia, and those above 600 degrees are called high myopia. The development of myopia in young children is characterized by rapid growth, averaging 50 to 150 degrees until the age of 18! Some have an annual growth rate of more than 200 degrees! 3. High myopia stage As the eye axis increases, the eye expands and can be seen in specimens far larger than the normal eye. In the process of eye enlargement, the sclera and choroid can grow according to the internal signal requirements of the eye, but the retina cannot grow with it. The retina, in order to adhere to the enlarged sclera and choroid, will have many fissures or lattice-like degeneration in the peripheral part of the retina, causing pre-existing lesions for future retinal detachment.
