There is no relationship between seborrheic dermatitis and polycystic ovary syndrome, and the cause of seborrheic dermatitis is not well understood. Seborrheic dermatitis is a relatively common dermatologic disorder, the cause of which is not completely clear. It may be related to seborrhea, neurotransmitter abnormalities, physical climatic factors, nutritional deficiencies, microorganisms, and the effects of medications. Moreover, psychiatric factors, dietary habits, B vitamin deficiencies, and alcoholism also have a certain impact on this disease. If a woman has polycystic ovary syndrome, due to the relatively high level of androgens in the body, often combined with insulin resistance, the patient may experience scanty or amenorrhea, irregular vaginal bleeding, obesity, hirsuteness, acne, acanthosis nigricans, and infertility, but basically it does not lead to seborrheic dermatitis.
