Cure rate of acute severe pancreatitis

The cure rate of acute pancreatitis can reach more than 90% at present, but for acute severe pancreatitis, the cure rate may reach about 60%. In clinical practice, especially for elderly people or those with more underlying diseases, the cure rate may be reduced to about 50%. Acute severe pancreatitis should be diagnosed as early as possible and treated promptly. If all clinical indicators are found to reach severe pancreatitis, surgical treatment plan should be taken actively and decisively. If necessary, the patient can also be transferred to a critical ICU unit for comprehensive treatment after surgery, including bedside hemodialysis, hemofiltration and, if necessary, the addition of an auxiliary mechanical ventilator, all of which can help to improve the cure rate of acute severe pancreatitis.
