1. Nighttime symptoms: snoring and labored breathing; almost all children with OSAS have this symptom, intermittently or continuously. 2. Daytime symptoms: open-mouth breathing, morning headache, dry mouth, disorientation, confusion, irritability, drowsiness; in school-age children, poor concentration, daydreaming, fatigue, decreased performance; behavioral problems: hyperactivity, mental retardation, emotional problems, aggressive behavior, etc. 3.Concomitant symptoms: hypoxemia, hypercapnia, low weight, gastroesophageal reflux, etc. 4.Signs: dyspnea, nasal flapping, trigeminal sign, contradictory chest and abdominal movements during inspiration, adenoid facial features may be present in long course of the disease: triangular jaw, receding mandible, long face, high hard palate, long soft palate, etc.
