A hard lump in the earlobe after ear piercing is a very common phenomenon and is divided into two main cases.
One, the patient induces a local microbial infection during the process of ear piercing, causing an inflammatory lesion and resulting in temporary oedema.
Secondly, some patients do not treat their ears correctly after piercing, resulting in local tissue heterogeneous hyperplasia, fibrous tissue glassy lesions and the formation of hard lumps. There is also local scarring caused by the ear piercing afterwards.
