Is there a hard lump in my earlobe that hurts when I pinch it?

Usually, hard lumps growing inside the earlobe do not cause immediate pain to the patient. However, most hard masses, no matter where they grow in the body, will produce pain when external pressure is applied, which is a normal physiological phenomenon. Therefore, this one symptom alone cannot determine which factor is causing the hard lump and the patient should seek prompt medical examination to confirm the cause.
