There are several ways to classify lung cancer according to different clinical needs:
1. Pathological typing: small cell lung cancer versus non-small cell lung cancer (adenocarcinoma, squamous carcinoma, large cell carcinoma, adenosquamous carcinoma, carcinoid tumor, etc.);
2. Anatomical typing: peripheral type lung cancer versus central type lung cancer according to the relationship with the main bronchus;
3. Genotyping: The common ones are EGFR ( epidermal growth factor receptor) and ALK (mesenchymal lymphoma kinase) are common.
