Is it normal to pee about 20 times a day?

A normal person urinates about 4-6 times during the day and 0-1 times at night, urinating 200-300 ml each time. Therefore, urinating about 20 times a day is an abnormal condition and can be diagnosed as severe urinary frequency. The most common cause of frequent urination is urinary tract infection, such as urethritis and cystitis. Patients often also have symptoms of urinary urgency and painful urination, which need to be treated with antibiotics. Secondly, this condition may be caused by urethral stones, tumors, prostate enlargement, etc. Further examination is needed to clarify the cause. If it is caused by stones, it needs to be treated with lithotripsy. If it is caused by a tumor, standardized anti-tumor treatment is needed. In addition, overactive bladder, diabetes mellitus or uremia should also be considered as causes. In addition, patients should pay attention to a light diet, ensure sleep, avoid staying up late, and actively participate in physical exercise, all of which are beneficial to the recovery of symptoms.
