Treatment for brain cysts includes conservative and surgical treatment.
Conservative treatment involves physiotherapy to improve the patient’s neurological symptoms, medication to control the cyst-induced epilepsy and regular review of the cyst for progression by CT and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Surgical treatment includes craniectomy for epileptic lesions, craniectomy and cystotomy, cyst-abdominal shunt and neurological endodontic guided openings.
