Double eyelid surgery options

Double eyelid surgery is one of the more common cosmetic surgeries today. The common methods are buried line, Korean three-dot method and incision method. 1. The buried wire method is quick to reduce the swelling, and is suitable for those who have thin skin and no obvious accumulation of eyelids. The thicker the upper eyelid tissue, the greater the likelihood of shedding. Another concern is whether the sutures can be removed if you are not satisfied with the shape of your eyelid. Generally speaking, this is difficult because the sutures are embedded in the muscle after surgery, and the thread itself is relatively thin, so it is difficult to remove them through small skin incisions alone. 2. Korean three-dot method is to cut three 3-4mm incisions on the eyelids, remove some of the orbicularis muscle and fat through the incisions, and fix the skin on the lid, which takes slightly longer than the buried wire method to reduce swelling, but the results are more stable, and the double eyelid loss rate is about 2%. This method requires removal of the stitches at 7 days after surgery, so it is not suitable for those with loose upper lid skin. This method takes the longest to reduce swelling and the eyelids are permanent. The wound should not be watered down for 7 days, and you should not eat irritating things such as chili and seafood, and with ice packs and adequate rest, the swelling will not be obvious for 2 weeks.
