Thrombofilter placement is mainly indicated for the presence of a floating thrombus in a large vessel, in anticipation of deep vein thrombectomy.
Indications for thrombofilter placement include floating thrombus in the iliac, femoral, and popliteal veins; pulmonary embolism during thrombolytic therapy; deep vein thrombectomy or before intervention; and widespread large iliac-femoral vein thrombosis, especially fractures.
It can also be used for those who have severe bleeding before or after anticoagulation and thrombolysis; after pulmonary artery thrombectomy.
However, it should be noted that although there are relatively no clear contraindications to the placement of thrombus filters, care and regular follow-up are required after placement.
If there is any discomfort, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time and choose an appropriate treatment plan under the guidance of the doctor.
