How should fatty liver be treated

  Fatty liver is a large blistering hepatocellular steatosis caused mainly by obesity, diabetes, drug and alcohol use. Fatty liver is a pathological manifestation of systemic diseases in the liver and is a reversible disease. It must be detected early and treated early.  Treatment principles include: (1) Removal of etiological and predisposing factors and active control of the primary disease.  (2) Adjusting the dietary regimen and correcting nutritional imbalance.  (3) Adhere to the necessary exercise to maintain the ideal weight.  (4) If necessary, supplement with appropriate hepatoprotective, enzyme-lowering, and anti-fibrotic drugs to promote intrahepatic lipid excretion and prevent hepatocyte necrosis, inflammation, and fibrosis.  (5) Discriminatory treatment in Chinese medicine.
