However, most umbilical cord entanglement does not affect normal fetal development and usually requires no special treatment and regular monitoring. If abnormal fetal heartbeat and intrauterine hypoxia occur during pregnancy or delivery, doctors will promptly treat the condition through conservative treatment or surgery.
