The incisional eyelid surgery is the most widely used eyelid surgery because of its good results and long-lasting effect. It is widely used because the skin is sutured directly to the levator aponeurosis and excess skin, orbicularis muscle and orbital fat can be removed to create a long-lasting double eyelid fold, depending on the circumstances. However, the incisional eyelid surgery is relatively more traumatic for the patient and therefore has more complications; however, if we start with prevention and improve the surgical design, technique, and postoperative management, we can avoid the occurrence of undesirable double eyelids and make the eyes more beautiful and easier to express emotions.
