We would like to inform our colleagues and patients that the project “Double-blind randomized placebo-controlled study of atorvastatin for the treatment of chronic subdural hematoma” is now in full swing and we expect more patients and colleagues to join us to validate this new, cost-effective, safe and innovative treatment proposed by the Chinese and to break the mayor of London’s claim that The Mayor of London has said that “the Chinese have not contributed to science since modern times”. Enrollees need to be older than 18 years and younger than 90 years; need to have a confirmed diagnosis of CSDH, but exclude: 1) caused by tumor or hematological disease; 2) have significant abnormal liver function; 3) have been taking oral statins for a long time, are allergic to statins; 4) have participated in other clinical studies within 4 weeks; 5) are nursing mothers or pregnant women; 6) do not agree to sign an informed consent form or cannot follow medical advice. Preference must be given to those whose imaging shows insignificant midline shift or less than 1 cm; no brain herniation will occur in a short period of time. This project has been widely supported by our sister hospitals since its inception, and many physicians are proud to participate in this RCT study with us. We have opened a CSDH-related WeChat, CSDH123456, which provides a randomized, double-blind study against the new atorvastatin therapy to determine the effectiveness of atorvastatin for CSDH. If proven, CSDH will be treated at about 1/10th of the cost of conventional surgery with no pain, no trauma and few complications for the patient. My website views are approaching 7000. I believe it will soon exceed 10,000. Come on. Let’s browse together and care about the progress of CSDH treatment for the benefit of CSDH patients.
