Can long-term bronchitis lead to cancer?

Long-term bronchitis does not usually cause cancer. Bronchitis is a chronic non-specific inflammation of the mucous membranes of the trachea and bronchi and their surrounding tissues. The main cause is recurrent infection by viruses and bacteria. It can also develop when the temperature drops, smoke dust, polluted atmosphere and other stimuli; smoking, allergic factors also have a certain relationship. Bronchitis does not usually induce cancer. Cancer manifests itself as a multi-stage process in which normal cells are transformed into tumor cells. Tobacco, alcohol, unhealthy diet, lack of exercise and air pollution are risk factors that induce cancer. Most cancers can now be prevented by avoiding risk factors, and if diagnosed early and treated appropriately, the likelihood of cure is high. If you cannot tell by yourself, you should go to the hospital in time for examination and early detection and treatment.
