How to treat hyperthyroidism medication with Sage?

The treatment of hyperthyroidism (referred to as, hyperthyroidism) mainly includes medication (Sage), isotope and surgery. After years of clinical experience, I have gradually figured out the optimal dosage of hyperthyroidism medication. First of all, according to the free T4 level (FT4) in the thyroid hormone test and the clinical manifestation of the patient, hyperthyroidism is classified as “severe hyperthyroidism, moderate hyperthyroidism and mild hyperthyroidism”. According to the classification, different doses of Sage are administered. For severe hyperthyroidism, Sage is given at 10mg (1 tablet) 3 times a day. For moderate hyperthyroidism, Sage is given at a dose of 15mg (1½ tablets) once a day. For mild hyperthyroidism, Sage is given once a day at 7.5mg (¾ tablet); thyroid function is checked after 3-4 weeks of treatment and the dose is adjusted according to the test results. The biggest benefit of this dosing is to avoid side effects caused by drug overdose. For the majority of patients, the dose is about 10 mg per day, which greatly avoids the risk of side effects of liver damage and white blood cell reduction. In the last 2 years, because the dosage of Sage was significantly reduced in these patients, the incidence of liver injury and white blood cell drop occurred very rarely and was almost non-existent. The literature suggests that at doses of Sage less than 10 mg per day, there was little or no incidence of liver damage or white blood cell reduction side effects. Therefore, it is recommended that all patients and clinicians should choose the most appropriate dose of Sage for treatment according to the patient’s thyroid hormone level. It can effectively treat hyperthyroidism while avoiding many adverse effects.
