What are the contractions at 34 weeks?

There are many reasons for contractions at 34 weeks, the more common ones clinically are caused by pseudo contractions, preterm labor and other factors. 1, pseudo contractions: In late pregnancy, because the uterine muscles are more sensitive, if after standing or walking for a long time, it may cause irregular uterine contractions with short duration and weak contraction power, limited to the lower abdomen or groin area to show symptoms. This contraction is irregular, non-periodic, and painless, usually does not require special treatment, just need to regular maternity checkups and close observation of fetal growth and development; 2. Premature labor precursors: If contractions occur frequently, and the attack feels hard in the stomach, and is accompanied by regular lower abdominal pain or vaginal redness, and at the same time can appear the phenomenon of cervical enlargement and fetal head drop, it may be a preterm labor precursor. You need to go to the hospital to determine the fetal development through ultrasound and vaginal examination, and if necessary, you can use medications such as magnesium sulfate and nifedipine for fetal preservation treatment under the guidance of the doctor, or terminate the pregnancy in time. Therefore, during the late pregnancy, you should pay attention to rest, avoid overexertion, keep warm and stay away from the environment such as radiation and harmful chemicals in order to reduce the appearance of abnormal contractions. If the uncomfortable symptoms cannot be relieved by themselves, you should go to the hospital in time for relevant examinations to ensure the safety of the fetus.
