FUT is the acronym for Follicular Unit Transplantation, in which the excised skin containing hair is separated into tiny grafts containing follicular units, and the grafts are planted into the desired area using a needle or transplantation device. The emergence of this technique is a revolution in hair transplantation technology, and the results obtained with this method are so desirable and natural that some scholars now regard the FUT method as the gold standard for hair transplantation, and this is the most commonly used method today. FUT is a transplant containing one follicular unit, in a sense, FUT is a micrograft, the specific difference is that micrograft means that the graft contains a complete or partial follicular unit, while FUT specifically means that it contains one follicular unit.
