Transforming phlegm – Fenglong point

  The Phlegm Transformation Point–Fenglong Point
Whenever a great doctor treats a disease, he must calm the mind, have no desires and no needs, first develop a great compassionate heart and vow to save the suffering of the spirits.
Don’t be afraid of phlegm, there is a true method here.
  Medicine: licorice.
Acupuncture point: Fenglong point on the right side.
Method: first press and knead by hand or tap the right side Fenglong point with a small health hammer for 5 minutes, then hammer flat and rotten licorice bought from a pharmacy and apply it externally on this point, fixing it with medical gauze and medical tape. Each time it is applied for 12 hours, remove it and rest for 12 hours before applying it again.
  Phlegm point – Fenglong point
All diseases are caused by phlegm, phlegm on the Fenglong point phlegm is originally a product of human disease, and its production and increase will cause more diseases, so, phlegm, from ancient times is a headache for doctors and patients, need to carefully dig out the root of the disease. A method often used in clinical practice to dispel phlegm is to press and knead or strike the right Fenglong point with a small health hammer, then pound licorice and apply it externally to this point.
The Fenglong point is a ligament point of the foot Yangming Stomach meridian, located on the front and outer side of the lower leg, and has been a major treasure point for expectoration by various schools of healers since ancient times.
Licorice grows in sandy soil, has a sweet taste and a yellow color, which, from the perspective of the I Ching, is the best choice to nourish the spleen and benefit the qi, and to dispel phlegm and stop cough.
Phlegm is the product of malfunctioning of the body’s water metabolism, which is closely related to the lungs, spleen and kidneys, and most closely related to the spleen, which is why Chinese medicine has the saying that “the spleen is the source of phlegm” and “the spleen does not produce phlegm unless it retains dampness”. The Fenglong point is a ligature point of the foot Yangming Stomach meridian, which is located on the foot Taiyin Spleen meridian, and can treat both the Spleen and Stomach meridians at the same time.
The ancients said, “Phlegm should be sought to Fenglong” “Fenglong, lung Yu, phlegm coughing is called strange. Yes, Fenglong has traditionally been regarded by doctors as the most important treasure to get rid of phlegm, so how can we not do it because the point is small, so all phlegm-related diseases should be treated through the Fenglong point.
Eat more sesame seeds and less meat.? Phlegm friends, usually must pay attention to their diet. As the old saying goes, “Fish produces fire, meat produces phlegm.” Eat more meat, especially pork eat more, is very easy to produce phlegm, so phlegm friends should reduce their meat consumption, eat more light food to do.
Among the daily diet, sesame seeds are more effective in eliminating phlegm. You can fry the sesame seeds, grind them into powder, and eat some every day. Of course, if you can buy pure sesame oil, it would be better. If you use sesame oil as a cooking oil in your daily diet, it won’t take long for the phlegm to disappear.
A few years ago, I treated a case of stubborn insomnia. At that time, I carefully examined the patient’s symptoms and found that the main cause of her illness was the presence of phlegm and dampness in her body. So, I used the external treatment method of applying licorice to the right Fenglong point, and asked her to follow this method when she went home.
Insomnia caused by phlegm in the body can be treated not only by the above method of external application, but also by the famous formula for warming diseases, Wen Biao Tang.
For insomnia caused by phlegm, the skin of the patient’s face or body is usually yellowish, so if you have insomnia with yellowish skin, it is best to try the Chinese medicine Wenzhi tablets made from Wenzhi Tang.
In Chinese medicine, phlegm is divided into three categories: phlegm of qi stagnation, phlegm of spleen deficiency and blood phlegm. The phlegm of qi stagnation is what we usually understand as lipoma, which is mainly caused by holding breath and tightness in the chest. The phlegm we cough up sometimes does not come from the lungs, but from spleen deficiency, in which case we should strengthen the spleen and dispel dampness. Blood phlegm is formed by high blood lipids, and phlegm is generated due to the accumulation of blood lipids. These three types of phlegm can be transferred to each other, and the cause of the disease is determined beforehand so as not to open the door.
There are two acupuncture points by self-massage have remarkable effect on resolving phlegm.
The Fenglong point of the foot Yangming Stomach meridian. Fenglong point is most useful for modern people, it can remove high blood lipids, so people with very heavy phlegm and dampness in the body must rub this point. When someone has a dumb throat and says he has something stuck in it, he can’t spit it out, so he may have phlegm knots in his throat. So it can dissolve both the visible phlegm and the invisible phlegm. If you feel that there is something here but you can’t spit it out and you can’t swallow it, like plum kernel qi, it can also be dispersed. If someone feels that there is phlegm that cannot be spit out, it is easy to spit out the phlegm after rubbing the Fenglong point, which is a very important point for resolving phlegm. From the outside of the leg, find the two points of the knee eye and the outer ankle, connect them into a line, then take the midpoint of this line, next find the tibia on the leg, 1.5 inches outside the front edge of the tibia, about the width of your two fingers, flush with the midpoint just now, press nearby, the place where you feel the most soreness and heaviness or obvious pain is the Fenglong point, press it for about 3 minutes a day.
Zhizheng point of the Hand Sun and Small Intestine meridian. Five inches above the transverse wrist line, here (is) the Zhi Zheng point. This position is on the side – all the small intestine meridians are on the side – and this point is called Zhi Zheng, “branch” being the branch of the side branch, and “Zheng “Who among the Five Organs is the righteous one? All take the heart as the official of the sovereign, it as positive. The branch is the main point of the small intestine meridian that leads to the heart, so it is called the branch. On the other hand, the heart and the small intestine are mutually exclusive, so this is a luo point between the small intestine meridian and the heart. It is a luo point, which means liaison.
The Zhi Zheng point has a special effect, it can treat superfluous organisms in the body. What is the reason for growing a wart and having a flat wart? Why are these superfluous organisms created?
In Chinese medicine, these superfluous organisms are called phlegm knots, which means that dampness is knotted together into these things, called phlegm-damp knots. On the other hand, there is the disease of qi stagnation, which means that some qi is generated and the phlegm and dampness in the body condense into these superfluous organisms. Lipomas are also these things, which are phlegm knots in the body.
By massaging the Zhizheng point, you can dissolve these superfluous organisms. Why does it have this effect? The body’s digestive function is not good, phlegm will not be digested, if the small intestine’s function is enhanced, phlegm can be dissolved in a timely manner, it will not produce these superfluous organisms, so massage ZhiZheng point it can dissolve the body phlegm superfluous organisms.
The spleen is the source of phlegm, the lungs are the reservoir of phlegm, and the kidneys are the source of phlegm. When it comes to “phlegm”, people who do not study Chinese medicine tend to think of the “phlegm” that comes out of the mouth. In fact, the scope of “phlegm” in Chinese medicine is very broad, including “tangible phlegm” and “invisible phlegm”. Tangible phlegm refers to the phlegm that comes out from coughing and spitting. In addition, some diseases such as dizziness, nausea and vomiting, palpitations and shortness of breath, faintness of mind or epilepsy may also be caused by phlegm. This invisible phlegm is the invisible phlegm.
”The spleen is the source of phlegm, and the lung is the reservoir of phlegm”, the production of phlegm is mainly related to the lung and the spleen. The lungs are the main respiratory organs, regulating the in and out and up and down of qi. When evil attacks the lungs, it easily leads to the coalescence of fluids in the lungs into phlegm. The spleen is responsible for transportation, i.e. digestion and transport of nutrients to the organs. If dampness invades the body, or if one thinks too much, is tired and does not eat properly, it can injure the spleen and cause it to lose its function of transportation and digestion, causing water and dampness to stop inside and condense into phlegm. For the “tangible phlegm” we can distinguish by ourselves mainly cold phlegm, hot phlegm, damp phlegm and dry phlegm, etc.
Cold phlegm: phlegm is white in color, the patient is afraid of cold and likes to drink hot food, and the tongue coating is thin and white. This condition is mostly caused by feeling cold evil. Patients can make more water with some medicine to dissolve phlegm, such as Chen Pi and Radix Platycodon, while treating wind-cold colds.
Hot phlegm: Phlegm is yellow and sticky, which comes from heat invading the lungs or after a few days of high fever from wind-cold, and the patient is afraid of heat and likes to drink cold, with a red tongue and yellow coating. At this time, it is necessary to clear heat and resolve phlegm. Eat a light diet, don’t eat fried food that can easily get on fire, and drink some fresh bamboo leech water or pear juice.
Damp phlegm: phlegm is white and watery, the patient has a heavy body, easily tired or thin stools, and the tongue is thin and white or white and greasy. This is due to the invasion of dampness into the body (such as living in a humid environment), so that the lungs and spleen dysfunction, or too greasy diet, lack of exercise, etc. resulting in the dysfunction of the spleen transport. At this time, we should eat more barley, yam and other foods that strengthen the spleen. Also strengthen exercise and control weight.
Dry phlegm: Phlegm is sticky and not easy to cough out, and the patient feels dryness in the mouth, nose and throat with thin yellow tongue coating. At this time, it is necessary to drink more water, and it is appropriate to drink medicine that nourishes yin such as saxifrage and maitake in place of tea, while keeping the respiratory tract moist, and a humidifier is available indoors.
Because phlegm comes out of the lungs, people mostly think that the lungs produce phlegm. However, according to Chinese medicine, coughing phlegm is not a sign of the lungs, but a sign of unfavorable water circulation. Then coughing is a sign of unregulated wind, and coughing phlegm is a sign of unregulated water. They are not the only diseases of the lung, but are closely related to other internal organs.
The metabolism of water is considered by Chinese medicine to be dominated by the lungs, spleen and kidneys. After the water and grain into the stomach, the body has a physiological role of fluid floating overflow, infusion in the spleen, through the spleen’s transport role, the distribution of fluid to the whole body. Part of the fluid is transferred upward to the lungs, and through the suction and descending action of lung qi, the water channels of the three jiao can be adjusted and the fluid can be transferred downward to the bladder; at the same time, through the propagation action of lung qi, the fluid is distributed around the body by using the three jiao as a channel. At the same time, through the function of the lung qi, the fluid is dispersed around the body by using the three jiao as a channel. The fluid transferred to the bladder is then partly injected into the lung by the qi-transforming action of the kidney to moisten the lung gold, and partly transformed into urine and excreted out of the body.
Clinically, the spleen is most afraid of being trapped, one is trapped by qi (anger does not spread) and the other is trapped by dampness. The spleen is equivalent to the central hub of qi in the whole body and is responsible for the transfer of water and grain. If you think about depletion of the mind, the vital energy is injured, anger is not cloth, trapped spleen Yang, or live in wetlands, rain and water, external moisture invasion, trapped spleen Yang, the transfer of fluid is unfavorable, into phlegm and dampness, up to the lungs; at the same time, the spleen is also trapped by phlegm and dampness, the more heavy gas trapped, the two causes are entangled, the more deficient the spleen, the more phlegm. Therefore, the spleen is the source of phlegm, the lung is the storage of phlegm said. If qi trapped is heavier than damp trapped, tonifying and benefiting qi soup should be preferred to strengthen spleen qi (ginseng, atractylodes, roasted licorice), raise and replenish vital energy (astragalus, angelica, asclepias, chai hu), and dry and transform dampness (chen peel). If dampness trapped is heavier than qi trapped, Er Chen Tang should be preferred to dry dampness and resolve phlegm (Chen Han Xia and Chen Pi) and regulate qi and harmonize the middle (Fu Ling, Gan Cao, Wu Mei and Sheng Jiang).
  【Tangtou Song】.
The tonic is astragalus art Chen, ascending Chai ginseng grass angelica body, fatigue and internal injuries are unique, Qi deficiency and subsidence can also be treasured.
Two Chen Tang with half summer Chen, ling grass plum ginger together, dry dampness and resolve phlegm and regulate the qi, damp phlegm and yin stagnation this formula is precious.
The kidney is the source of phlegm, and how to understand it? Because the spleen yang is rooted in the kidney yang, and sufficient kidney yang is the root of a healthy spleen yang. And a healthy spleen yang is the root of the positive qi memory, and the positive qi memory is the guarantee that evil will not dry up. Therefore, in clinical practice, while invigorating Spleen-Yang, it is often necessary to consider whether there is a deficiency of Kidney-Yang, and to appropriately supplement Kidney-Yang with warming products, such as Radix et Rhizoma Polygonati, Cinnamon, Sinapis, Epimedium, Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum, etc.
How can we identify phlegm produced by the spleen? This phlegm is white, thick, easy to get out, as if there is a sense of slipping from the throat into the mouth, without force to cough up, so the ancients often called this wet phlegm cough, not called cough phlegm. Such as “ten thousand diseases back to spring” volume four: “wet phlegm cough, phlegm, phlegm out of the cough is also.”
[Noun interpretation: with sound without phlegm for “cough”, with phlegm without sound for “cough”, with phlegm with sound for “cough”. Wet phlegm cough, the name of the disease. It is one of the phlegm coughs. It refers to coughs caused by phlegm and dampness in the lungs, with the characteristic symptom of phlegm coming out of the cough.
There are many internal organs that cause phlegm, such as the spleen, lungs, and kidneys, and the water and grain essences have to be moved in the lungs, otherwise phlegm is easily formed in the lungs. That is, the lungs are the storage device for phlegm what means. This gas includes spleen qi, lung qi, kidney qi. The spleen qi transports the water and grain essence more directly, the impact is obvious, and common. This is why it is said that the spleen is the source of phlegm and the lung is the reservoir of phlegm.
Open up the lung and large intestine meridians. What are the benefits of opening the lung and large intestine meridians to the body? The lung and large intestine meridians are like an ancient couple who live together in the large intestine house. The man is the main lung outside, the woman is the main large intestine inside. The man works outside to collect money, and the woman hosts the household at home. The lungs absorb fresh air to send home, the large intestine to get gas, in order to function properly, remove the dregs, the home clean.
The lung meridian route from the large intestine, first to reach the head of the shoulder, down the arm to the end of the fingers, the money bag to the large intestine, so that the large intestine spend money with gas and quantity, timely clean up the garbage, and good housekeeping.
The lungs can only be safe and sound by “inviting” the evil Qi out – specific ways to open the lung meridian
Rub the lung meridian to stop coughing and moisten the lungs
The lung meridian travels from the body to the head of the shoulders, starting from the two points of Zhongfu and Yunmen. If it hurts to rub the two points, there must be an evil guest, so use a large vacuum cupping jar here. A cupping of two points will draw out the invading evil. If the jar spot is red, it is hot; if the jar spot is black and purple, it is cold; if the skin is blistered, it is wet.
If you have a cough at the beginning, immediately stimulate the point to rub Zhongfu and Lung Yu (or cupping a vacuum jar for 5 minutes) to immediately stop the cough. I use this method to treat my husband’s coughing problem when he has a cold or flu, and it has worked time and again.
Rub your wrist often, clear snot will go away
The lungs like warmth and are afraid of cold. The thin skin of the wrist, if it is cold and cold for a long time, the lungs will definitely be damaged in old age (not good for the heart either). Especially in Chinese medicine, the pulse is at the mouth of the inch, which is the most important mouth.
When your body suddenly feels cold, clear snot flowing down, at this time look at their hands and neck (and the back of the neck) is not outside the drying it? At this time, you can immediately rub the wrist inch mouth until hot, you will feel the back of the neck hot, clear snot will stop, then you can avoid a cold!
What to do with the cough caused by anxiety and fire – Shaoshang point to help you
Chinese medicine says that the distal extremities of the body, stabbing the ligament treatment, can drain the heat to remove the fire. The Shaoshang point on the fingertips of the lung meridian is particularly suitable for bloodletting, which can drain lung heat.
Once, I was in a bit of a hurry and had a cough, so I used the nail of my right thumb to pinch the Shaoshang point on my left hand. I gritted my teeth and held on for a minute, and when the pain was over, I nodded once more at the Shaoshang (the vertical horizontal line, crossed). Finally the pain was so numb that my hands were numb, but my body felt much better, and I went to sleep with a bowl of congee for dinner, and the next day was fine.
  Health Tip].
The part of the face where the lungs react is between the eyebrows. If this area is red, green, spotted, or acne-prone, the culprit is the evil hidden within the lungs. If you have pimples and redness (with dry cough), it suggests that the lung meridian has heat, and if you have darkness and greenness, it suggests that the lung meridian is cold.
The lung also governs the voice (but the root is in the kidney). A low voice is a deficiency of lung qi; a hoarse voice with loss of sound is a wind-cold constriction of the lung.
Once the intestines are open, the body is relaxed – specific ways to open the large intestine meridian
People with thick upper arms and swollen and painful lower gums may have blockages in the large intestine meridian
Pricking and releasing blood at the Shang Yang point on the tip of the index finger can drain the internal heat of the large intestine, which is extremely effective. I have personally experienced this many times and feel it is safer than taking medicine to relieve fire (less drug damage).
Up along the index finger is the Hegu point. Chinese medicine says, “the head and face of the Hegu collection”. This means that Hegu can get rid of head and facial ailments (but not exclusively). The large intestine meridian also crosses the lower gums, if the lower gums are swollen and painful, or the corners of the mouth love acne, can be considered as the large intestine internal heat surplus, should tap or rub the large intestine meridian.
If the upper arm is thick, especially the arm and the area around the fifth mile of the hand is painful, it means that this section is blocked and needs to be rubbed or cupped one by one.
Sometimes the fifth mile of the hand can also be used instead of the third mile of the foot. Once, the classmate Xiaoyan on acupuncture class, suddenly the stomach pain is unbearable, can not bend down to rub the foot three miles, she pressed the arm hand five miles, very painful, but after two minutes of kneading, stomach pain gradually relieved.
Shake your shoulders every day, stools moist and smooth
Large intestine meridian crosses behind the shoulders, if the stool is dry and does not go down for a few days, it belongs to the large intestine meridian with hot fire. At this time, you should always rub the shoulder and arm points here, the strength should be heavy (shoulder meat thick), you can borrow the surrounding objects to shake the top of the shoulder, it is beneficial to drain the fire. Generally in the shoulder line can find the pain point, once rubbing 2 to 3 minutes, or use the vacuum cistern to invite out the evil Qi better.
Manage the large intestine meridian in the neck, so that the throat does not hurt or itch
There are two acupuncture points here, Fu Tu and Tian Ding, both on the outer side of the neck. If you have a sore throat, you can try to rub them slowly for a few minutes to remove the stagnation in these two points, and then your sore throat will be relieved.
The common people often say that the fire, each person’s performance is different: some go to the throat, some go to the eyes, some go to the trachea, some go to the nose. In fact, this all means that a certain meridian in the body has been blocked for a long time, so when people get on fire, the body can not properly resolve it, it will come out of the body and manifest itself in different locations. I used to be particularly fond of fire, and sores on my mouth and tongue, dry stools and thirst were commonplace. After dredging the meridians, it almost stopped happening. My beloved often has toothache, through the meridian adjustment in the past two years, now also rarely have toothache.
Nose bulge, rub the Yingxiang point
The large intestine meridian goes up along the corners of the mouth on both sides to the Yingxiang point on the nose where it merges with the stomach meridian (the ancients were wise and finally grouped the stomach and intestines into one family). If this area loves to bulge, most of the large intestine meridian heat fire (of course, the stomach meridian is also involved). Then, you have to carefully rub through the whole large intestine meridian, from the root to fire it.
There are many different meridians passing through various parts of the body, and when you have discomfort, you can press on the meridians one by one to test. The method is: first carefully find the pain point, and then look at the chart to see which meridian the pain point is on, so as to find out which meridian stasis is blocked; then, you can further find the pain point in the meridian line, and rub away, pain heavy then add jars. Then, for a long time to come, your body will be at peace.
  Health Tip]
Deficiency cold in the large intestine is mostly manifested as intestinal tinnitus, abdominal pain, diarrhea and numbness in the shoulders.
Real heat in the large intestine, where the meridian passes, mostly seen as redness, swelling, heat, pain, bleeding, dryness, swollen and painful gums, nose bleeding, constipated stools, dry intestinal fluid, etc.
