What does a large uterus mean?

Large uterus means that the size of the uterus exceeds the normal value, the normal size of the female uterus is 7-8cm in length, 4-5cm in width and 2-3cm in thickness, if the examination process is found to exceed the above value range, it can indicate that the uterus is large. There are many clinical reasons for a large uterus: 1, physiological uterus: 1, caused by menstruation: before menstruation, due to the pelvic cavity in a state of congestion, the endometrium thickens, the uterus before menstruation is slightly larger than the uterus after menstruation, the uterus will feel full when touched; 2, pregnancy: pregnancy will be accompanied by HCG elevation, endometrium thickening, the uterus is obviously large, can be clarified by HCG and ultrasound examination. Pathological uterine enlargement: 1. uterine fibroids: as fibroids protrude from the surface of the uterus, the surface of the uterus can be touched with obvious protrusions or unevenness, and the uterus is heterogeneously enlarged, if fibroids obviously affect the health of the uterus, the fibroids need to be surgically removed in time; 2. uterine adenomyosis: as endometriosis foci are planted in the myometrium and scattered, the uterus is homogeneously enlarged, i.e. overall enlargement of the uterus, while the uterus is spherical in shape, sometimes accompanied by pressure pain.
