Obstructive sleep apnea hypoventilation syndrome

If there is no clear stenosis dysfunction in each segment, treatment can be achieved through weight loss, exercise, change of sleep position and continuous positive pressure ventilation (CPAP). If there is stenosis in one or more segments of the upper airway, the first step is to surgically resolve the stenosis in the appropriate area, and then most patients will be cured naturally. However, in a small number of patients, who are still not well despite the stenosis resolution, further comprehensive treatment with continuous positive pressure ventilation via the nose is required.
