First aid treatment for burns

Boiling water, hot drinks, rice, hot soup, etc. are common causes of burns. Do not panic after a scalding injury occurs, but be calm and responsive, and do the following in order: 1. The degree of scalding is proportional to the temperature and contact time of the liquid. If the scald site is very close to the water source, you should quickly shower the scalded part with cold water to quickly reduce the temperature of the injured part, and then take off the clothing. If you are far from the water source, you should take off the clothing soaked in the hot liquid as soon as possible, and if necessary, you can cut it off directly, and then soak the scalded part in cold water for about 10 minutes. Avoid the following wrong practices: rubbing the scalded area, rubbing salt, soap, toothpaste or soy sauce, vinegar and other seasonings locally. Usually put hot water bottles and other containers in places that are not easily accessible to children, and put cold water before heating water when bathing children. 2. Use clean towels and fabrics to cover and simply bandage the wound to avoid contamination causing infection or further aggravating the damage. Cold season should pay attention to keep warm. 3.After the disposal of the scene, you should quickly go to the nearest hospital to receive further formal burn treatment.
