Stages of diabetic nephropathy with elevated blood creatinine

Elevated blood creatinine in diabetic nephropathy usually belongs to stage V of diabetic nephropathy.
Diabetic nephropathy is usually categorized into stage v. Creatinine is usually normal in stages I to IV, and elevated blood creatinine can occur in stage V.
In stage I, there is no clinical manifestation of nephropathy, and the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) may be elevated. In stage II, microalbuminuria occurs, and GF is normal or elevated; in stage III, urinary protein increases significantly, and GFR decreases; in stage IV, a large amount of proteinuria occurs, and GFR decreases; and in stage V, creatinine increases, and renal function continues to diminish to end-stage renal disease.
Once creatinine elevation treatment is often relatively difficult, so patients with diabetic nephropathy should actively control blood glucose, lower blood pressure, control urine protein in the early stage, so as not to continue the progression of nephropathy and delay treatment.
It is recommended that when diabetic nephropathy with elevated creatinine occurs, go to the hospital in time for consultation, regular review and active treatment to avoid progression of the disease.
