Fatty liver disease is a type of disease in which there is an excessive accumulation of lipids in the liver cells. It is divided into alcoholic fatty liver disease and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease according to the presence or absence of excessive alcohol consumption. At present, the incidence of fatty liver in China has accounted for more than 10% of the general population, especially in obese, alcoholic and diabetic people up to 50-60%. 20% of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease can progress to cirrhosis, of which 30-40% of patients die of liver-related diseases, some of which occur in liver failure and hepatocellular liver cancer. In the next 10 years, fatty liver will become the main target of liver disease prevention and treatment in China. Fatty liver is a reversible disease and can often be restored to normal with timely treatment. Non-pharmacological treatment through lifestyle interventions is particularly important, and Chinese medicine has unique efficacy in this area. Dietary fiber can be increased from 20-25 g/d to about 40 g/d. Reasonable distribution of the three meals, combined with diabetes can be distributed according to the ratio of 1/5, 2/5, 2/5. (2) Exercise: Choose aerobic exercise (such as walking, jogging, swimming, cycling, climbing, etc.) of moderate intensity more than 4 times a week, and recommend moderate intensity rhythmic exercise (at least 20-60 min/day, 5 days/week) for fatty liver patients, with a cumulative exercise time of at least 150 min. heart rate should be maintained above 100 beats/min, but not more than 200 beats/min at most, and fatigue after exercise within 10-20 min. Fatigue should disappear within 10-20 minutes after exercise. (3) Life habits: Correct poor lifestyle and behavior, develop an individualized diet and exercise plan, quit drinking, and maintain a good state of mind. Abstinence from alcohol is the most important measure in the treatment of alcoholic fatty liver disease and is a prerequisite for the effectiveness of other therapeutic measures, and the lesions can be completely reversed even after several weeks or months of abstinence.
