Erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation in men

In clinical work, most male patients have doubts about the perception of ED and premature ejaculation. While looking at the relevant information today, I thought it should be beneficial to put the relevant academic aspects for everyone to see. The incidence of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men is increasing year by year Studies have shown that the average duration of intercourse in healthy men is 9.2 to 10.0 min, which decreases significantly with age. Due to the accelerated aging of the population and the increased human lifespan, the incidence of ED will gradually increase among men over the age of 40. Among American men aged 40-69 years, an average of 600,000 new ED patients are diagnosed each year. The average duration of intercourse in healthy men is 10 min, 40% of physicians believe that patients with ED who seek medical care value erection duration, and 56% believe that patients have an average erection duration of <1 min. For patients with ED, erection hardness and duration are equally important for a satisfying sex life. An important factor influencing the quality of sexual life: erection duration. Studies have shown that female orgasm maintenance is strongly correlated with the duration of penile-vaginal intercourse. Sexuality-related treatment should focus on improving the quality of sex and prolonging penile-vaginal intercourse time. A large survey of men with premature ejaculation showed that the mean intravaginal ejaculation duration (IELT) was 1.8 min in men with premature ejaculation and 7.3 min in men without premature ejaculation. In terms of self-perceived frustration, men with premature ejaculation had a higher proportion of "frustration" or "very high frustration"; in terms of communication with their partners, men with premature ejaculation had a higher proportion of "communication". In terms of communication with their partners, a higher percentage of men with premature ejaculation said they had "difficulty communicating" and "very difficult to communicate". The researchers concluded that the duration of intercourse was significantly associated with sexual satisfaction, frustration and partner communication.
