Signs of early stage bowel cancer

Colorectal cancer is a major disease that threatens people’s health and life, and its high incidence and youthful trend are drawing more and more attention. If colorectal cancer can be correctly diagnosed and treated at an early stage, its 5-year survival rate can be more than 90%, while the 5-year survival rate of progressive stage tumor is only about 50% regardless of the treatment method, which shows that early detection of colorectal cancer is of great significance for the prognosis and regression of the disease.   Although there are no obvious symptoms in the early stage of colorectal cancer, as long as we observe carefully and pay enough attention, there are always traces of colorectal cancer for us to find: 1. Blood or mucus in stool: when the tumor grows to a certain extent, some of the tumor cells will be necrotic and fall off, thus appearing surface ulceration and bleeding. At this time, the color of blood in stool will become bright red or dark red and stick to the surface of stool. The fecal occult blood test is positive, and red blood cells can be found during microscopic examination. In addition, the mucus secreted by the tumor cells will also adhere to the stool surface. 2. Change of normal defecation habit: diarrhea or constipation will appear alternately. At the same time, due to the stimulation of mucus and toxin secreted by tumor, it will affect the normal physiological function of intestine, bringing the number of stools from once a day to many times. Moreover, there is often a feeling of incomplete stool after defecation. 3.Abdominal discomfort, hidden pain or abdominal distension: Patients with colorectal cancer often have abdominal distension and abdominal pain due to intestinal dysfunction or intestinal obstruction, and the incidence of abdominal pain is higher. The pain is usually persistent, mostly concentrated in the middle and lower abdomen, with varying degrees of severity, mostly hidden pain or distension, and the tendency of gradual aggravation. 4.Unexplained anemia or weight loss: often manifested as systemic symptoms, such as the appearance of unexplained anemia, fever, etc., and often accompanied by fatigue and unexplained weight loss. 5.
Abdominal lumps and other symptoms: The manifestation of colorectal cancer varies from person to person. The first symptom of some patients, especially some thin patients, may be the appearance of abdominal lumps. At this time, patients can usually feel it by themselves. This lump is usually more fixed and is not painful to touch. By noticing these traces left to us by colorectal tumors, we can detect this serious threat to our health demon at an early stage and nip it in the bud or at a young age, so that health can return to us and make our life better!
