What happens to a three year old without a reserve of farsightedness

A three-year-old child who no longer has a reserve of hyperopia is prone to induced myopia.
Hyperopia reserve refers to physiological hyperopia, usually at birth a child will have about 300 degrees of physiological hyperopia, with age, the degree of physiological hyperopia will gradually decrease, usually around 12 years of age gradually disappeared.
If a three-year-old child is examined and the physiologic hyperopia has disappeared, he or she lacks a buffer against myopia and is more likely to develop myopia in the future than a child with a reserve of hyperopia.
There is no way to restore the reserve of hyperopia, and it is important for children to avoid prolonged close-distance eye use, develop good eye and hand hygiene habits, and actively participate in outdoor sports, which can effectively slow down the growth of myopia.
Three-year-old children without hyperopic reserve, it is recommended to take the child to the hospital ophthalmology department for a detailed examination, by the doctor to determine the child’s current eye condition, to guide further treatment.
