There are physiological reasons for women not to have menstruation and pathological reasons such as hypothalamic amenorrhea, pituitary amenorrhea, ovarian amenorrhea, uterine amenorrhea, developmental abnormalities and so on.
1. Physiological reasons: for example, menopause occurs after pregnancy due to hormonal changes in the body. Menopause occurs during menopause due to the decline in hormone levels caused by the decline in ovarian function. Breastfeeding also occurs during the period of not having menstruation.
2. Pathologic causes:
(1) Hypothalamic amenorrhea: It is due to amenorrhea caused by various disorders of the central nervous system and hypothalamus, such as mental stress, weight loss, locomotor amenorrhea, pharmacological amenorrhea, and craniopharyngioma.
(2) Pituitary amenorrhea: it is due to organic pathology or dysfunction of the pituitary gland, which affects the secretion of gonadotropins, thus affecting the ovarian function of amenorrhea, such as pituitary infarcts, pituitary tumors, empty pteronyssinus syndrome and so on.
(3) Ovarian amenorrhea: amenorrhea caused by decreased level of sex hormones secreted by the ovaries, which makes the endometrium not undergo cyclic changes, such as premature ovarian failure, functional ovarian tumors, polycystic ovary syndrome and so on.
(4) Uterine amenorrhea: amenorrhea can be caused by infection, trauma and other causes of uterine adhesions, such as uterine adhesions, surgical removal of the uterus or radiotherapy.
(5) Developmental abnormalities: such as Miller’s canal hypoplasia syndrome, genital atresia, Turner’s syndrome, and so on.
There are more reasons for not having menstruation, so you need to actively consult a doctor and have targeted treatment after clarifying the cause of the disease under the guidance of a professional doctor.
