Myocardial abscess is one of the main clinical symptoms of dilated cardiomyopathy (DDM), a group of lesions that result from progressive impairment of cardiac function due to structural changes in the lower chambers of the heart (i.e., the ventricles) and impaired function of the myocardial wall. Its clinical manifestations are heart enlargement, arrhythmia, embolism and heart failure. The etiology is generally related to viral infections, autoimmune reactions, genetics, drug toxicity and metabolic abnormalities. (According to the pathology, dilated cardiomyopathy, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and restrictive cardiomyopathy can be classified.) The prevention of myocardial abscess caused by dilated cardiomyopathy: reasonable diet and comprehensive nutrition: “people are food-oriented” and “disease enters by mouth” illustrate the importance of diet to the human body. To prevent dilated cardiomyopathy, diet should be low in salt, low in fat, high in protein, high in calories, high in vitamins; small and frequent meals, avoid overeating, spicy and fried foods; quit smoking and limit alcohol, avoid “second-hand smoke”; eat more fresh fruits and vegetables; use food therapy to assist in treatment if possible. Prevention of infection, control the cause: dilated cardiomyopathy is currently unknown, may be related to viral infection and other factors, especially in the winter and spring season, the temperature changes, easy to catch a cold, infection, and even lead to viral myocarditis, the chronic stage of viral myocarditis or sequelae, a small number of myocarditis in the acute phase that is manifested as heart enlargement, the formation of dilated cardiomyopathy, so control the causative factors, prevention of colds, infections, to prevent viral myocarditis. The first step in the prevention of dilated cardiomyopathy is to prevent viral attack on cardiomyocytes. Finally, the preventive care of cardiomyopathy also includes a clear body and a correct attitude. Although dilated cardiomyopathy is a difficult to treat disease, but our cardiology department rescued patients with dilated cardiomyopathy, although the large heart have different degrees of shrinkage, but the happy treatment is that some have returned to normal size. Therefore, patients should see hope, believe in cardiomyopathy experts, establish confidence to overcome the disease, and resolutely fight with the disease to the end.
