1. Examination and design: The physician asks the patient’s medical history in detail, does the necessary general and oral examinations, takes X-rays to understand the bone quality and quantity of the proposed implant site to determine whether the patient is suitable for implant treatment, and provides the best treatment plan for the patient according to the patient’s requirements. 2. Implant placement: The implant is inserted into the bone of the dental bed under local anesthesia, tightly sutured, and the stitches are removed after 7-10 days. 3.Bone healing period: The length of the bone healing period depends on the bone condition of the patient’s implant bed and the implant site. In the visible area of the upper and lower jaw, if the bone condition is good, temporary crown restoration can be used immediately after implant placement to solve the aesthetic and pronunciation problems of the patient as soon as possible. For some patients with total edentulism, an implant-supported overdenture can be worn 24-48 hours after implant placement. Some patients need only 2-3 months of bone healing period, while patients with poor bone conditions, even with bone augmentation techniques, need 3-6 months or even 9 months of bone healing period. 4. Attachment of the healing abutment: Once the implant is fully integrated into the jawbone, a healing abutment is attached to the implant, allowing the soft tissue cuff to take shape within two to three weeks. 5. Completion of the restoration: Once the soft tissue cuff is formed, the surgeon replaces the healing abutment with a permanent abutment, takes an impression, designs the restored tooth, makes the crown or bridge, and you are ready to wear the tooth supported by the implant.
