Macular degeneration is a general term for a group of diseases that can be divided into many different types. The morphology, symptoms and prognosis of different types are different, for example, the common macular lesions mainly include age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular degeneration, macular edema, macular anterior membrane, macular fissure and so on. For hemorrhagic diseases, such as macular hemorrhage or diabetic macular degeneration, intraocular injection of tretinoin or ranibizumab can be given in the early stage to promote the reduction of edema and improve the vision. If it is a macular anterior membrane or macular fissure, when it does not affect the vision in the early stage, it usually does not need to be treated, and the change of vision can be monitored regularly.
